About me
I’m Cassie Catchpole. Executive Producer, Festival Director and champion of bold, accessible performance.
For over a decade, I’ve worked across contemporary performance and outdoor arts, creating experiences that meet audiences where they are - whether that’s in theatres, on the street, inside a caravan, or in the middle of a community space.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: culture should be easy to access and not hard to reach. I’m driven by opening up spaces for people who might not otherwise see themselves reflected in the arts, or feel that it’s ‘for them.’
I collaborate with independent artists and companies - emerging and established, regional and international - to develop and deliver ambitious, socially engaged work. My practice spans traditional venues and site-specific settings, always with a focus on connection, context, and audience experience.
I’m currently Executive Producer at Out There Arts. Alongside this, I produce work with performance artist Louise Orwin and street theatre company The Grand Theatre of Lemmings, and I run Fresh Air Festival in Essex - an outdoor arts festival rooted in place, people, and possibility.
Recent work includes collaborating with Gecko and Good Chance Theatre to create a bespoke physical theatre piece with 30 young performers and 10 professionals—bringing together different experiences, voices, and energies into one shared process.
Before this, I spent four years at Arts Council England as Touring Relationship Manager for the South East. This gave me a deep understanding of funding strategy and the realities of touring - knowledge I now use to support artists and organisations in making work happen.
A few things about me - I have a dog called Blue. I’m half Dutch. I have 10 tattoos (and counting). I live by the water. I’m a winter solstice baby. I love a bright nail.
